Is Apple the choice for devs in MENA?

Middle East/ North Africa, along with much of the emerging markets, were clear-cut Nokia territories with their feature phones, but it seems they were able to capitalize on the conversion to smartphones.

Same goes for RIM. My guess is that there are still probably more BlackBerries in the region but they are clearly not capitalizing on mobile Internet growth.

And where is Android? I really expected Android to be all over this market.

So what are the implications? If you’re a Dev working or interested in MENA, your first choice is developing for IOS?
