The price of politics over policy

I like the Republicans. In some ways, they are the most honest and transparent party in Washington.

They made no mystery about their strategy to make Obama a one-term president and their willingness to go to any lengths to do it: sink the economy, willfully default on US debt, coddle up to fat-cat special interests etc.

But apparently there is a price to cynically putting politics above reasonable policy, internal chaos.
